Chicken Biryani in Rice CookerÂ
- RECIPE FOR 4 PEOPLE
- TIME: 50 - 60 MINS
Although you will require the following ingredients, we understand that all the ingredients will not be available. Therefore, we have advised of substitutes.
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
2 cups basmati rice (soaked in water for 15 - 30 mins)
300g Chicken breast (cut in small cubes) - Vegetarian Option below*
2 medium sized onions
3 clove garlic, crushed
1 piece thumb size ginger crushed or grated
2 tbs natural yogurt
2 tbsp any biryani spice from ready made masala pack(substitute below) *
Salt to taste
1 tbs butter or ghee (optional)
Flakes almond (optional)
*For vegetarian option use your own fresh vegetables of approximately 300g, cut in small cubes
*Biryani spice (if you don’t have a pack of biryani spice available)
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
whole black pepper (optional)
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
1 bay leaf (optional)
other whole spices such as cumin, coriander, staranise.
