Fish Finger Pakoras

Since my husband started his new job locally he comes home too early. That means he is hungry too early. Most days he will be content with putting some mundane shazans kebabs in the air fryer. But at times I try to disembark from being a 'feminist-working-woman -fighting-for-equal-rights-and-not gonna-cook-for-husband-everyday' mode, I do feel like making some snacks for him.

So instead of serving dinner straight away I made this quick pakora. Its fish finger and potato waffle pakora. It was different and quite tasty. I know you are all waiting for the recipe so here it is.

INGREDIENTS 6 fish fingers 2 potato waffles Half red onion Handful of fresh coriander, chopped 1 green chilli, chopped 1 cup gram flour 1 egg Half tsp turmeric Half tsp ground cumin Half tsp ground coriander 1/4 tsp chilli powder 3-4 curry leaves (optional) chopped

METHOD 1. Firstly partially cook the fish fingers and the waffle. I put mine in the airfreight for 10 minutes. Then leave to cool. 2. In a bowl place the gram flour, egg and half cup water. Mix with fork to form a batter. 3. Add the spices, mix well. 4. Add the onions, coriander, chillies and curry leaves of using. 5. Chop the fish finger and waffle into small chunks and add to the batter. Mix with fork. 6. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the pakoras in batches, until golden. Serve with my homemade samosatney.
