EASY BUTTER CHICKEN - Chicken Makhni
Butter chicken or murgh makhani is one of the most popular and tasty Indian dishes served in restaurants. Golden fried chicken pieces cooked in creamy and buttery tomato sauce makes this dish a favourite dish to serve on special occasions.
There are usually three methods to this recipe and each method needs full care and attention. But I have found this easier method which avoids using too many utensils hence saves you a lot of time and energy.
SERVES 6-8 PEOPLE COOKING TIME: 45 MINUTES PREP TIME: 30 MINUTES
To marinate chicken Boneless Chicken - 1kg 1 thumb size Ginger, crushed 3 clove garlic, crushed 1 tsp Salt 6 - 8 Tbsp Oil
Masala Paste 2 x onions, diced 6-8 tbsp vegetable oil Ginger and garlic paste, 1 tsp each 1/2 tsp chilli powder 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp garam massala
To make butter chicken 2 tbs butter 1 cup pasta or tomato pasta sauce 1 thumb sized fresh ginger, julienned 200 ml fresh cream
To garnish 1 tbs almond nuts Chopped coriander Pinch of garam masala Kasuri Methi
